Movie: “Our Brand Is Crisis” (2015)

Bolivian politics? Really?

Yes. When a story is well told, anything can be engaging.

I love these principal actors, the script, and the directing. A little complicated for me (no surprise there!) But worth rewatching anyway just to see Billy Bob and Sandra in those close-ups. I saw some nice acting there. (The camera sees everything!)

Grade: A

P.P.S., A small favor from this movie is that it does not saturate the soundtrack with oboe music, or whatever that goddam wooden pipe is that all movies tend to play as soon as the action moves south of Mexico (e.g., “Salvador,” among many others)β€” almost always when the location switches to Colombia. Or Bolivia. Except maybe for “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.” πŸ˜¬πŸ˜†πŸ˜œπŸ˜²πŸ€”
